Always remembering that a home inspection is a visual non destructive observation of the properties systems and how they operate together, or dont in some cases, the Inspector uses his knowledge, training and communication skills tuned during many hundreds of inspections to ensure the client  is fully aware of and fully understands any issues identified during the inspection process. A home inspection is not a code compliance inspection.

Not everything in a property is pleasant. understanding the issue and the clients concerns allows the Registered Home Inspector to communicate even the most intimidating things in a way that provides the client with the correct information and the knowledge of what requires to be done. Remember no property is perfect or maintenance free.

The Registered Home Inspector keeps up to date on current insurance industry concerns, the latest construction methodology and innovations to be able to advise accordingly.

You are advised to accompany the Inspector to learn so much about your new home, from basic maintenance to major safety issues and cost concerns.

Ask questions and get answers on site. You will then be provided with a web based computer generated inspection report which whilst easy to read and understand will be comprehensive, detailed and full of digital colour photographs & illustrations.

• WETT Certified (Wood Energy Technology Transfer, for solid fuel / wood burning systems) since 2007                     
• Radon measurement professional - C-NRPP since 2017
  
  
• An active CAHPI Atlantic chapter member since 2007 ( Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspector earned RHI Registered Home Inspector designation in 2009)
  
  
• Certified Level 1 Building Investigations Thermographer (infrared thermal imaging since 2010)
  
  
• NSBOA part 9 trained (Nova Scotia Building Officials Association since 2007)
  
  
• Completed many home renovations (both individual projects and full house renovations during the last 25 years.
